Research of the performance of hydroxyapatite coating and preparation technology by liquid precursor plasma spraying

摘要

Abstract

Objective Through researching the relationship between process and performance of coating,obtaining the optimal technological parameters about preparing hydroxyapatite coating by liquid precursor plasma spraying.Methods The critical technological parameters such as spraying power,transfer speed,spraying distance and atomizing pressure were optimized by orthogonal test and orthogonal analysis was done about the coating thickness and the degree ofcrystallinity.Then the coatings were characterized by XRD,FTIR and SEM.Result XRD analysis showed that the main phase of all coatings was HA,and there were a little TCP phases and CaO; FTIR analysis showed that there were a little CO32-groups in all coatings and some OH groups dropped offin some coatings; SEM observation showed that the No.3 coating deposited as unconsolidated particles,so the bonding strength was very low,the other coatings presented preferable splatting; orthogonal analysis showed that the influence of every factor for the performance of coatings:spraying distance > atomizing pressure > transfer speed > spraying power,and obtained the optimal technological parameters.Conclusions The optimal technological parameters of preparing hydroxyapatite coating by liquid precursor plasma spraying was spraying power (45kw) + transfer speed (8) + spraying distance (10cm) + atomizing pressure (0.14mPa).
