Abstract
Objective:To study the expression of B7 homolog 4(B7-H4)in the eutopic and ectopic endometrial tissues of endometriosis (EMs) patients,and detect soluble B7-H4 (sB7-H4) in serum of endometriosis patients and investigate its effect and significance in occurance and development of endometriosis.Methods:Immunohistochemistry was used to examine the B7-H4 protein expressions in eutopic (n =43) and ectopic (n =43) endometrium of Ems,as well as endometrium of normal endometrial tissues (n =30).B7-H4 expression levels in serum of endometriosis patients were detected by ELISA,with 30 cases of the serum of selected healthy women as the control group.Results:B7-H4 was mainly expressed in cell cytoplasm and membrane in endometrial tissues.The positive rates of B7-H4 expression in ectopic,eutopic and normal endometrium were 62.8％,55.8％ and 30％ (x2 =8.067,P =0.018) respectively.B7-H4 was not correlated with the phase of menstrual cycle (P＞0.05).The serum sB7-H4 level in endometriosis patients was (36.23±5.67)μg/L,which was significantly higher than that of the healthy controls [(31.24±4.56) μg/L,t =2.398,P＜0.05].Conclusions:Abnormal expression of B7-H4 protein may be correlated with the occurrence and development of endometriosis.B7-H4 may be a new target in diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis in the future.关键词
