Study on wrinkle resistant finishing on cotton fabric with N,N'-diallyltartardiamide

Abstract
N,N'-diallyltartardiamide is a new type of crosslinking agent,which can form crosslink with cotton fibers treated by allyl glycidyl ether to obtain wrinkle resistance.The effects of temperature,time,the dosages of sodium hydroxide,N,N'-diallyltartardiamide and allyl glycidyl ether on the graft reaction and crosslinking reaction were discussed.The conditions of grafting and crosslinking reaction were optimized,and the application properties of finished fabric were tested.The results showed that the optimal conditions of grafting reaction were as folowed:dosage of allyl glycidyl ether was 5%,dosage of sodium hydroxide was 1 mol/L; the optimal conditions of crosslinking reactionas were as followed∶ m(DAT)∶m(fabric)=1∶1,the reaction temperature was 85 ℃,reaction time was 2 h.The weight gain rate of crosslinking increased with the weight gain rate of grafting,the wrinkle recovery angle of finished cotton fabric was improved,however,the strength and whiteness of fabric declined after finishing.关键词
