摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical values of sternocleidomastoid flap s in operations on parotid benign tumors.Methods 196 cases with parotid benign tumors were randomly divided into experimental group and control group.The control group (75cases) were treated with traditional parotidectomy,while patients in experimental group (121cases) were treated with modified parotidectomy including repairng the soft tissue defects by sternocleidomastoid muscle flap.The postoperative follow-ups of all 196 cases ranged f rom 6months to 48 months.Results Incidence rate of sunken deformities,Frey's syndrome and salivary fistula in experimental group was inificently lOwer than that in control group (P＜0.01).Conclustion Sternocleidomastoid muscle flap is effective to correct the deformity of the face after parotidectomy and decrease the occurrence of Frey's syndrome and salivary fistula.关键词
