Effects of Porphyromonas gingivalis on the new bones around implant prostheses
摘要
Abstract
The aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of P.gingivalis on the new bones around implant.The dental plaques on the exposed implant surfaces of 40 patients with bone remodeling around implant prostheses were accumulated and amplified by the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) to detect the P.gingivalis.And the marginal bone(LMB) around these implants were measured on the panoramic radiograph which were divided into 3 groups by the marginal bone absorption values--below 3 mm,between 3 mm and 6 mm,above 6 mm (148 dental plaques,40 patients).Results showed that the positive rates of P.gingivalis of these groups were relatively 28.6％,45.3％,and 67.2％,sharing a statistically significant difference (P＜0.05).Ifs concluded that P.gingivalis may he associated with early marginal bone loss which should he considered in the bone remodeling around implant prostheses.关键词
