Abstract
Objective:To explore the efficacy and security of metformin tablets in the treatment of prediabetes patients.Method:FBG and 2 h PG of 72 prediabetes patients were higher than normal value but lower than diagnostic criteria for diabetes,and they were randomly divided into experimental and control groups.Both groups were given non-drug treatment measures of diet and exercise intervention,while the experimental group was given metformin tablets in addition.Compare treatment efficiency and the incidence of diabetes between two groups after six months,and observe the adverse effects of the experimental group.Result:The treatment efficiency and the incidence of experimental group were 91.7%and 5.6%,while the control group were 66.7%and 27.8%. The treatment efficiency of experimental group was significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05),while its diabetes incidence was significantly lower (P<0.05).There were two cases of gastrointestinal reactions in the experimental group.Conclusion:Adding metformin on the basis of non-drug treatment can significantly improve the blood glucose control level of pre-diabetes patients,and reduce the incidence of diabetes,which is worthy of clinical application.关键词
