摘要
Abstract
Objective:To evaluate changes in the dental arch and soft and hard tissue produced by the self-ligating bracket and conventional bracket.Method:80 patients were selected and assigned randomly into 2 groups as observation group and control group.Each group contained 40 patients. Observation group received non-extraction treatment with a self-ligating bracket and control group with a conventional bracket.The measurements of intercanine and intermolar and interpremolar width and arch length of dentition were made on dental casts to investigate the changes associated with the correction.Result:There was significant increase in length of dental arch with self-ligating and conventional bracket after treatment(P<0.05).And there were significant increase in second premolar width and middle arch length in observation group than control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Self-ligating bracket has better clinical effect,shorter operation time and more comfortable than conventional bracket.关键词
