摘要
Abstract
To investigate the antimicrobial capability of copper fin and aluminum fin on the evaporator of bus air-conditioning system. In April and October, air-samples of outlet air and breathing zone air of buses and samples taken from the surface of evaporators were collected for microbiological examination while the air-conditioners were running and turned off separately. Air samples from parking areas were used as control. The total bacterial counts and total fungal counts from the surface of copper fin were significantly lower than those of aluminum fin (ρ<0.05) . Copper fin evaporator could reduce the level of the total bacteria count in breathing zone air compared with aluminum fin evaporator, showing significantly antimicrobial capability.关键词
