Structural design for compact cascaded 1×N optical power splitters
摘要
Abstract
This paper propose a new design method and optimization strategy for a compact cascaded 1 × N optical power splitter.The splitter consists of N-1 1 × 2 splitter unit-cells connected by bent waveguides,cell-output connection is achieved by two joint waveguide bends.An evolutionary algorithm is used for structure optimization to minimize the device length to facilitate integration.BPM simulation results show that the device footprint and insertion loss are both reduced compared with a traditional optical power splitter design.关键词
