MMP-9基因rs17577多态性与脑梗死的关系
CORRELATION BETWEEN GENETIC POLYMORPHISM AT THE rs17577 SITE OF MATRIX METALLOPROTEINASE-9 GENE AND CEREBRAL INFARCTION

Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship between the polymorphism of matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) gene rs17577 and cerebral infarction (CI) in Han population of Qingdao.Methods The polymorphisms of MMP-9 gene rs17577 in CI patients and normal controls were detected and compared by employing polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism and gene sequencing.Results The frequency of the GA genotype and A alleles were significantly higher in CI than that in the control group (x2 =8.74,7.79;P <0.01).Logistic regression analysis indicated that A allele was associated with the development of CI (OR=1.855,95%CI=1.206-2.854,P<0.01).Conclusion The genetic polymorphism at the rs17577 site of MMP-9 gene is involved in the pathogenesis of cerebral infarction,and A allele being its risk factor.关键词
