Two-dimensional magneto-hydrodynamic simulations of magnetically accelerated flyer plates
摘要
Abstract
A two-dimensional magneto-hydrodynamic model is solved numerically by a time-split algorithm.The physical processes which are time-split are thermal and equilibrium radiation diffusion,resistive diffusion,and Lagrangian hydrodynamics.A magneto-hydrodynamic model is proposed to numerically calculate the experiment carried out on the Z machine at Sandia National Laboratories.The computed free surface velocities of the flyer plates agree well with the experimental records by velocity interferometry system for any reflector (VISAR).The obtained velocity,pressure history curves are helpful to understand the physical mechanism of magnetically accelerated plane flyers.关键词
