Abstract
RIN-m cells were injured by sodium nitroprusside (SNP),adonator of NO.The objective of this study was to evaluate the protective effect of total flavonoids from Urariacrinitaroot (UCRFs) on RIN-m cell.The cell viability,intracellular content of malondiadehyde (MAD) and total glutathione (GSH),as well as total activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) were measured.The experimental results showed that UCRFs significantly improved the viability of RINm cells injured by SNP,as well as ameliorated the intracellular oxidative stress,which was confirmed by the reduction of intracellular content of MAD.Furthermore,UCRFs increased anti-oxidative ability in INS-1E cells by elevating intracellular GSH content and up-regulating the activity of intracellular SOD.Hence,it was concluded that UCRFs exhibited protective effect against injury caused by NO in RIN-m cells,possibly through the up-regulation of intrinsic anti-oxidative activityof cells.关键词
