Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the situation of irrational drug use and to improve rational drug use in clinic.METHODS:A total of 7223 prescriptions of Chinese patent medicines were selected randomly in our hospital in 2012.A retrospective analysis method was adopted to analyze their relevant medication information for evaluating the rationality about drug use.RESULTS:Irrational drug use was found in 1885 prescriptions of Chinese patent medicines,and the incidence of irrational drug use was 26.1％.Of them,drug selection not conform to treatment based on syndrome differentiation accounted for 25.8％; exceeding indication accounted for 23.1％; unreasonable medication accounted for 21.0％; unreasonable drug combination accounted for 18.9％ ; unreasonable drug dosage accounted for 15.9％ ; unsuitable drug use accounted for 14.8％ ; unreasonable course of treatment accounted for 13.8％ ; unreasonable combination of traditional Chinese medicine and chemical drugs accounted for 9.5％.CONCLUSIONS:The phenomenon of irrational use of Chinese patent medicines is prominent; of them,drug selection not conform to treatment based on syndrome differentiation,exceeding indication and unreasonable medication are the core issues; clinicians should strengthen syndrome differentiation and treatment,and strictly refer the drug package inserts for standard medication.关键词
