Abstract
This paper presents a study of diamond pillbox windows for the double-frequency splitting transmission system in a novel THz TWT frequency multiplier.The windows for both fundamental mode in W-band and harmonics in THz band were designed.Microwave Plasma Chemical Vapor Deposition system was employed to grow RF-grade diamond materials,while processes including fabrication of window discs,metallization and brazing were also investigated.The windows for fundamental mode in W-band have been developed,and the cold test results showed a standing wave ratio of less than 1.3 and a transmission loss of below 0.5dB over a frequency band of 28GHz.These diamond windows have been successfully used in W-band TWTs.The design of window for harmonics is fulfilled.关键词
