Abstract
Objective To study the clinical value of the combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine for primary hypertension. Methods 98 patients with primary hypertension were selected as the study objects and then randomly divided into an observation group and a control group,49 cases for each group. The control group were treated with western medicine, while the observation group was treated with the combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine. The therapeutic efficacies of both groups were observed. Results 8 weeks after the treatment, the total rate of efficacy was 93.8% in the observation group and was 83.7% in the control group. The clinical symptoms, such as headache, palpitation, insomnia, tinnitus, and irritability, all improved in different degrees in both groups, but the observation group improved more and had better therapeutic effect than the control group. The E value,A value, and E/A before the treatment were statistically different from those after the treatment in the control group(P<0.05) and in the observation group(P<0.01).Conclusions Traditional Chinese medicine in combination with small dose of western medicine can effectively lower the patients' blood pressure, cure not only the symptoms but also the etiology, and is worth being clinically generalized.关键词
