Abstract
Objective To explore the microsurgical therapy and the preoperative diagnosis for extracerebral cavernous hemangiomas ( ECHs). Methods The clinical manifestations , neuroimaging features and operative approaches of 18 cases of extracerebral cavernous hemangiomas were analyzed retrospectively. Rusults The total removal and partial removal of tumors were conducted in 10 and 8 cases respectively, with neurological deficits improved in 17 cases after surgery, and no neoplasia recurrenced in 10 cases of the total removal of tumors. Conclusion Microsurgical tumor resection is the best way to treatment extracerebral cavernous hemangiomas in nowadays, and the reasons of removing the tumors totally or partial are concerned with preoperative diagnosis, operative evaluation and the microsurgical techniques of operators.关键词
