摘要
Abstract
Objective To explore the value of MRI to diagnosis and prognosis of primary brain stem injury in patients with the CT demonstration of intracisternal hemorrhage around the midbrain. Methods The clinical and CT imaging data of 66 head injury patients with intracisternal hemorrhage around the midbrain were analyzed retrospectively . There were 63 patients using MRI within 72 hours post injury. Data of MRI and life quality through GOS were analyzed. Results The clinical manifestations and prognosis in all cases were compared with the MRI. The manifestations of brainstem injure were showed on MRI images in 47 (76.4% )cases, most of them with diffuse swelling,the more seirous swelling, the more severe prognosis of the patients,gently subarachnoid hemorrhage or no obvious brainstem change was noted in 13 (19.0% ). Conclusion The early CT manifestations of intracisternal hemorrhage around the midbrain strongly suggest the possibility of primary brainstem injury. And early MRI can provide a definite basis of diagnosis, treatment and prognosis.关键词
