Abstract
Objective To probe into the methods and effects of using superficial circumflex iliac artery perforator flaps to repair perineal cutaneous defects.Methods From August 2005 to January 2010,the skin defects of the perineum were reconstructed with the pedicled superficial circumflex iliac artery perforator flaps in l0 cases.The defects were due to scar excision in 5 cases,infectious ulcer in 2 cases,electrical injury in I case,skin neoplasm in I case and skin avulsion injury in 1 case.The flap area ranged from 5.5 cm× 3.2 cm to 18.5 cm × 10.0 cm and the pedicle length ranged from 4.1 cm to 10.7 cm.Results All the flaps survived completely.Infection occurred in I case at the recipient site and was resolved with dressing change.Follow-up study ranged from 6 months to 3 years.The thickness of the flaps was satisfactory and all the flaps blent well with the color and texture of the surrounding skin.The postoperative scar was inconspicuous at the donor site and no numbness complaint found.Conclusion For resurfacing the anterior perineum,the superficial circumflex iliac artery perforator flap is a better option compared with the traditional groin flap because it has the advantages,namely the longer length of its vascular pedicle,minimal donor site morbidity,being able to carry 2 skin islands on one pedicle and get easily thinned in one stage.关键词
