摘要

Abstract

AIM:To observe the expression of Bax and Bim at mRNA and protein levels in coxsackievirus B 3 (CVB3)-infected HeLa cells.METHODS:HeLa cells were divided into control (non-CVB3 infection) group and CVB3 infection group.The expression of Bim and Bax at mRNA and protein levels was determined by reverse transcriptase poly -merase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and Western blotting analysis at 3 h, 6 h, 9 h, 12 h and 24 h postinfection.RE-SULTS:The mRNA expression of Bax and Bim in control group was not significantly different among different time points , so was that in CVB3 infection group (all P>0.05).However, compared with control group, the mRNA expression of Bax and Bim in CVB3 infection groups was decreased at 24 h postinfection (all P<0.05).The protein expression of Bax and Bim in control group was not significantly different among different time points (P>0.05).However, in CVB3 infection group, the protein expression of Bax was lower at 24 h postinfection than that at 3 h (P<0.05).Meanwhile, compared with control group, the protein expression of Bax in CVB3 infection group was decreased at 24 h postinfection (P<0.05). The protein expression of Bim in CVB3 infection groups was decreased along with the time postinfection , and was decreased at 9 h, 12 h and 24 h as compared with control group (P<0.05).CONCLUSION:The proteins of Bax and Bim play an important role in CVB3-induced apoptosis of HeLa cells.
