Abstract
The detonator sensitivity and hygroscopicity of granular ammonium nitrate were modified .The modified granular ammonium nitrate was characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM ) ,specific surface ar-ea and oil absorption test ,respectively .Moreover ,its anti-hygroscopy performance and detonators sensitivity were also tested .Results show that ,compared with the counterparts ,such as granular or ordinary porous granular ones , modified granular ammonium nitrate presents advantageous properties ,in that bigger specific surface area of 3183 . 26 cm2/g ,higher oil absorption rate up to 13 9.% and better performance of anti-hygroscopy are obtained .The deto-nator sensitivity of ANFO containing the modified ammonium nitrate is improved significantly .Even when the charge diameter reaches 40mm ,the ANFO still maintains modest detonator sensitivity and enables to detonate com-pletely .关键词
