摘要

Abstract

S-transform can be independently used to analyze the amplitude variation of the signal on each frequency component. The moment of saltation in the signal can be determined by observing the amplitude and frequency charac-teristics of transient traveling waves, and the fault location of power transmission lines can be achieved. It is necessary to collect synchronously the voltage signals by GPS at both ends of the transmission lines before and after the fault hap-pened. Amplitude-time curve, which shows the amplitude saltation points, can be obtained by S-transform. Simula-tion results show that this method can precisely grab the arrival time of the wave head with high accuracy.
