摘要

Abstract

The Reynolds lubrication and motion equations of a pico slider with a fly height of 3.5 nm is resolved by using the finite control volume method and the third-order Runge-Kutta method. The influence of intermolecular forces on the flying attitude of the slider when it flies over a rectan-gular step on the disk is studied,and time-domain analysis of the interface between the slider and disk is conducted.Simulation results show that the dynamic flight stability of the slider is destroyed by intermolecular forces between the slider and the disk when the slider flies over a rectangular step on the disk in a system with an ultra-low flying height,which is an important factor in causing inter-face failures between the slider and the disk.Furthermore,approaches to reducing intermolecular forces are proposed,such as rationally designing the geometric parameters of the slider to reduce the area of the rear pad of the slider,and improving the surface evenness of the disk,which can further improve the stability of the interface between the slider and the disk.
