Abstract

In view of the complexity in practical operation of electric power optical transport network (EP-OTN), according to the scene of stochastic concurrent multi-link failure and on the basis of traditional active failure location algorithm a multi-link failure location algorithm based on active monitoring service, namely the active fusion algorithm, is proposed. Firstly the proposed algorithm preprocesses the alarm information included in the business and simplifies the alarm table; then the monitoring service is sent by the active monitor; finally the multi-link failure is located accurately. Using the proposed active fusion algorithm the failure location accuracy can be increased by more than 10 percent than using traditional passive location algorithm. Simulation results show that using the active fusion algorithm the failure location time is less than 9 ms and the accuracy of failure location is higher than 70 percent, therefore the proposed active monitoring service based multi-link failure location algorithm can be suitable to normal operation of EP-OTN.
