A Battery Charging Control Strategy Based on Maximum Power Point Tracking

Abstract
To fully utilize solar energy and increase service life of battery, a battery charging control strategy based on maximum power point tracking (MPPT) is proposed, and the improved variable-step perturbation duty ratio control algorithm is applied to MPPT control. The proposed control strategy combines MPPT charging with stage-style charging to ensure the voltage stability of DC bus, and for this purpose a control strategy for bi-directional DC-DC converter is given. Finally, a simulation example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of proposed control strategy.关键词
