摘要

Abstract

A novel UWB micro-strip antenna with band-notched characteristics was designed and manufactured. Using a hexagons patch as the radiation element and cutting a pair of symmetrical U-shaped slot,the band-notched characteristics of the antenna was realized. Simulated results show that the width of the U-shaped slot determined the center frequency and the bandwidth of the notched band. With the presented design,the bandwidth(return loss≤-10 dB)starts from 3. 015 GHz up to 13. 270 GHz that means a relative bandwidth of 126% and it effectively eliminates the 5. 725 GHz~5. 85 GHz WLAN range. Measured results confirm that the proposed antenna is suitable for UWB applications.
