A New Method to Estimate Parameters for FOPDT Model Based on Step Response

Abstract
In this paper, a new method based on step response has been proposed to simultaneous estimate model parameters for first order plus dead time (FOPDT) model. The method is applied a simple transformation of the output variables of the model, and transformed the parameter estimating into an optimal linear fitting. A numerical example is employed to illustrate the feasibility and accuracy of the proposed method.关键词
