Preparation and Photocatalytic Properties of Bi-Doped TiO2 Nanotube Arrays

Abstract
The preparation conditions of Bi-doped TiO2 nanotube arrays( Bi-TNTs) is discussed via electrochem-ical deposition in Bi(NO3)3 and dilute HNO3 mixture, based on photocatalytic degradation efficiency of methyl orange as index.The structure and morphology of Bi-TNTs are characterized by SEM and XRD.The photocata-lytic degradation conditions of sugar wastewater are researched under the Bi-TNTs.The results show that the Bi-TNTs can increase the photocatalytic degradation ratio of methyl orange and sugar wastewater in 0.33 g/L Bi(NO3)3, 0.28 mol/L HNO3 solution, and voltage of 2.2 V for 4 min.pH value of substrate has great effect on photocatalytic activity of Bi-TNTs.In strong alkali conditions, the highest photocatalytic degradation ratio of sugar wastewater is 90.24% in irradiation for 25 h.关键词
