摘要

Abstract

The influence of additives (i.e.,magnesium chloride,citric acid,sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate (SDBS)and so-dium oleate)on the growth behavior of calcium sulfate whisker synthesized with desulfurization gypsum by a hydrothermal process was investigated.The hydrothermal products obtained with or without additives are a half-water calcium sulfate whisk-er.However,the whisker obtained without additive appears short and thick.Magnesium chloride does not affect the growth of whisker,and citric acid inhibits the growth of whisker.SDBS plays a certain role on the promotion of whisker growth.The morphology of the product is inhomogeneous,and granular calcium sulfate appears.However,sodium oleate has a promoting effect on the growth of calcium sulfate whisker.Needle-like whiskers with 50-200μm in length and about 1μm in diameter are obtained.For the stabilization of the whiskers,calcining process was used to obtain insoluble anhydrous calcium sulphate whiskers.In addition,the promoting mechanism of the sodium oleate on the hydrothermal process of the whisker was also dis-cussed.
