Research on health status and health care requirements of middle-aged and aged women in community
摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the health status and health care requirements of middle-aged and aged women in community and to provide evidence for health care and nursing services for the aged .Methods The cluster sampling method was adopted to select 90 female cases aged 50 or more than 50 years old from 4 communities in Xi ’ an city.Totally 83 effective questionnaires were taken back .The content included health status and relative influencing factors and medical health care requirements .Single factor χ2 test and multifactor Logistic regression model analysis were used to analyze the influencing factors of health status among middle -aged and aged women in community.Results Among the investigated cases , women who had elementary school and junior high school education level occupied 50.6%, solitary women without spouse took 19.3%, empty nest family took 37.3%, retired women took 77.1%, and 65.1% families had general economic status .At present, only 39.8%women had good health status , and 71.1%women suffered from at least one type of chronic diseases .Economic factor was the major factor affecting the health status of middle -aged and aged women .It showed significant meaning in the regression model (B=2.413,P<0.05).The middle-aged and aged women, who had the positive attitude toward physical examination, had better health status than those who had negative attitude toward physical examination (χ2 =11.611, P=0.020<0.05). Conclusion In the condition of fast aging and family supporting decreasing , the function of community health service center should be called into play .And health education intervention should be considered as the ways to enhance the self care ability and correct life belief and attitude in order to reveal the meaning and value of life with pride among middle -aged and aged women .关键词
