Abstract
Objective To investigate the roles of thymic stromal lymphopoietin ( TSLP) and interleukin-8 ( IL-8) in children with bronchial asthma.Methods Thirty patients were chosen in each of the group at acute attack stage (attack group), the group at clinical remission stage (remission group), and healthy group (controls).Induced sputum was collected by ultrasonic atomizing inhalation of 4%hypertonic saline solution .TSLP and IL-8 were detected by ELISA and the correlation between them was analyzed .Results The levels of TSLP both in the attack group (3.13 ±1.15 pg/mL) and remission group (1.50 ±0.79 pg/mL) were higher than that in controls (0.96 ±0.81pg/mL) (both P<0.05), so were the levels of IL-8 (296.14 ±39.63pg/mL, 191.87 ±22.27pg/mL and 134.22 ±9.12pg/mL, respectively) (both P<0.05).The levels of TSLP and IL-8 were higher in the attack group than the remission group ( both P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis indicated that the levels of TSLP and IL-8 were positively correlated (r=0.221,P<0.05).Conclusion TSLP and IL-8 may play important roles in the occurrence and developmentof asthma , and they are likely to be potential targets for the treatment of asthma in children .关键词
