摘要

Abstract

A series of WO3/HMS catalysts were prepared by atomic layer deposition (ALD) method and characterized by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), standard Brunauer Emmnett Teller (BET) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The application of the prepared catalysts for the oxidative cleavage of methyl 9, 10-epoxystearate (MES) to methyl azelaaldehydate (MAA) with H2O2 as oxidant under mild condition was studied. The effects of catalyst supports (SBA-15, MCM-41), reaction temperature and solvent species were investigated. The characterization results show that the tungsten species is highly dispersed on the HMS surface when the WO3 content of the catalyst is below 5%(wt). However, when using SBA-15 or MCM-41 as support and using 5%(wt) WO3 to prepare the catalysts, the actual WO3 content of the prepared catalysts is obviously lower than 5%(wt) with the tungsten species partially congregates and forms low-crystalline metal oxide species on the surface of the supports. The results of the catalytic reactions show that, using HMS as support and the WO3 content lower than 5%(wt), the prepared WO3/HMS catalyst gives a higher MAA production ratio of more than 80%and an excellent MAA selectivity. On the other hand, elevating reaction temperature and using t-BuOH or dioxane as solvent will favor the oxidation cleavage of MES reaction. In addition, 2-WO3/HMS catalyst has good regenerative ability and its activity can keep unchanged after be reused for three times in the oxidation system.
