Abstract
Aim:To explore methylation status of MAL gene promoter region in human esophageal cancer .Methods:Bisulfite-sequencing was used to detect the methylation pattern of MAL gene promoter region in esophageal cancer cell line EC9706 .Then the methylation pattern of MAL gene promoter region in esophageal cancer and matched para -cancerous tissue was further detected by methylation sensitive restriction endonuclease which was selected according to the sequencing results and PCR.Results:A total of 42 cytosine locuses were detected methylated in MAL gene promoter region in EC 9706,ac-counting for 73.7%(42/57) of all CpG locuses.Methylation incidence of MAL gene in esophageal cancer was 53.8%(14/26),much higher than 7.7%(2/26) in matched para-cancerous tissue (χ2 =10.924,P<0.001).Methylation of MAL gene promoter region in esophageal cancer with different clinicopathological features had no obvious significance ( P>0.05).Conclusion:The methylation of MAL gene promoter region may be one of the possible mechanisms of the occur-rence of esophageal cancer .关键词
