Abstract
Aim:To explore the effects and the application of quality control circle ( QCC) activities in decreasing the rate of postoperative infection in neurosurgery patients .Methods:QCC activity group was set up and the activity theme was established .Postoperative infection rate and infection site of 329 patients in neurosurgery department were analyzed retro-spectively from January to June in 2012 to explore the causes of postoperative infection .Postoperative infection rate and in-fection site of 420 patients after the QCC activity from July to December in 2012 were compared with before .Results:The rate of postoperative infection in neurosurgery department decreased from 18.5%to 4.3%(χ2 =39.736,P<0.001).Un-der the same risk factors , such as basic diseases , tracheotomy , external ventricular drainage and so on , after the QCC ac-tivity, the rate of postoperative infection decreased significantly (χ2 =13.527, 4.966, 18.707,P<0.05).Conclusion:QCC activity could not only reduce the incidence of postoperative infection in neurosurgery department , but make partici-pants master the skills of the quality management tool .关键词
