Abstract

The tensile properties of X80 grade SAWH steel pipes and hot rolled coils with different size, which were manufactured by different steel company, were statistically analyzed. The results showed that the yield strength and tensile strength of steel pipes present a increasing trend, the increment of yield strength is higher than that of tensile strength, and the yield strength shows increasing trend, the elongation decreases. The deformation strengthening, which happened in the process of forming and hydrostatic test, is the main effect factor on the change of tensile properties. The deformation strengthening is affected by hydrostatic test pressure and test specimen size. The higher hydrostatic test pressure is, the closer to the original wall thickness sample size, the more obvious deformation strengthening effect and the greater increment.
