Abstract
Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of electromyography (EMG) in diabetic peripheral neuropa-thy.Methods 231 patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy in our hospital from March 2009 to June 2012 were selected , and neurological related indicators were detected EMG by evoked potential instrument.Results Total abnormal rate of EMG was 78.8% ,and with the duration increasing incidence of abnormal rate increased ,from 62.1% in group with duration <1years ,to 94.8 % in group with duration more than 10 years ;in patients with duration less than one year abnormal rate of tibi-al nerve H-reflex reached 56.9% ,abnormal rate of other items less than 20% ;while in patients with duration more than 10 years ,abnormal rate of the tibial nerve H-reflex up to 93.1% ,followed by the lower extremities peroneal nerve MCV and su-perficial peroneal nerve SCV ,abnormal rates were 41.3% and 46.6% ,all higher than 40%.Conclusion EMG has high accu-racy in the diagnosis of diabetic peripheral neuropathy ,detection by EMG in patients with diabetes can help early discovery of peripheral neuropathy ,thereby help early treatment and intervention ,and it is worthy of clinical application.关键词
