Protection and control scheme for smart distribution grid with distributed resource
摘要
Abstract
The protection and control of distribution grid faces a serious challenge due to the integration of high penetration rate distributed resource (DR). This paper proposes an advanced feeder terminal unit (AFTU) based protection and control scheme. According to the capacities of DR and load, the distribution network is divided into several zones in advance, which may operate in islanded mode. At the beginning of feeder, the point of common coupling of DR and the border of zone, the circuit breakers and AFTUs are installed, and the adjacent AFTUs are connected by the optic fiber. Each AFTU detects the local information and exchanges the information with the adjacent AFTUs in real time. According to the information, AFTU can fast locate the fault section, and realizes the isolation of fault section and the islanded operation. Using the related information, the control strategy of reclose and re-connection of DR is design. Case analysis shows that the proposed protection and control scheme is feasible.关键词
