Anxiety,Depression and Coping Styles in Cervical Cancer Patients Undergoing Radiotherapy
摘要
Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship between coping styles and anxiety ,depression in cervical cancer patients undergo-ing radiotherapy .Methods A total of 68 cervical cancer patients were assessed by convenient sampling ,who had been investigated with the Jalowiec coping scale(JCS-60)and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS).Results ①The average score of HADS -A was(6.90 ±3.50)and HADS-D was(6.26 ±4.06).The prevalence for depressive disorders ,anxiety disorders,and comorbidity of both disorders was 39.7%,35.3%and 26.47%,respectively.②Optimistic coping scored the highest ,which was the style most often applied by cervical cancer patients .Emotive coping scored lowest .Among 60 coping items,"Hoped that things would get better"was the most of-ten used coping strategy ,"Took a drink to make yourself feel better"was the least used coping strategy .③HADS-A was positively cor-related with confrontive coping ,evasive coping,fatalistic coping and emotive coping .HADS-D was positively correlated with fatalistic coping and emotive coping .Optimistic coping was negatively related to HADS -A.Conclusion The level of anxiety and depression is high in cervical cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy .Fatalistic coping and emotive coping adopted can increase the prevalence of de-pressive disorders and anxiety disorders .关键词
