Relationship between Perception of Discrimination and Coping Style of Migrant Children in Kunming

Abstract
Objective To investigate the present situation of perception of discrimination and coping style of migrant children inKunming,and promote their adaption of the city life.Methods Perception of Discrimination Questionnaire and Coping Style Question -naire were used to assess 508 migrant children and 180 non-migrant children in Kunming.Results Compared with non-migrant children,the total score on perception of discrimination and discrimination experience of migrant children was obviously higher (t =-5.406,3.519,P <0.001)and relevant to the migrant time.In respect to coping style,there were significant differences in both self-accusationand fantasy((F =2.951,1.426,P <0.05)between migrant children and non-migrant children.Discrimination experience of migrantchildren was significantly correlated with each dimensions of coping style except for problem -solving.Conclusion Migrant children'sperception of discrimination need to be abated .And perception of discrimination partly has prediction effect on choice of coping style .关键词
