Abstract
Objective To study the effect of combined Jinlong capsule and transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE) on hepatic metastasis of colonic carcinoma. Methods Forty-six patients with hepatic metastasis of colonic carcinoma admitted to The First Affiliated Hospital of Chinese PLA General Hospital from October 2011 to March 2013 were randomly divided into treatment group and control group (23 in each group). Three months after patients in control group received TACE and those in treatment group underwent combined Jinlong capsule and TACE, their tumor size, quality of life and immune function were compared. Results No significant difference was observed in the effective rate between the two groups(P>0.05). However, the tumor progression rate was significantly lower whereas the life quality score and immune function were significantly higher in treatment group than in control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Combined Jinlong capsule and TACE delays tumor progression, improves life quality and immune function of the patients by exerting a significant synergistic effect on the tumor.关键词
