摘要

Abstract

Sulfur content is one of the important criterions to evaluate the quality of magnetite .How-ever, it has always been a technical problem to remove sulfur from magnetite in the iron and steel industry.Flotation is an effective way to remove pyrrhotite from magnetite .However,pyrrhotite is easily oxidized , which has a detrimental effect on the flotation of pyrrhotite .So activation of pyrrho-tite is an essential method for a good flotation result .Therefore , research on activator and activating mechanism is an important basis for flotation desulfurization .The paper mainly introduces the re-search status of magnetite flotation desulfurization process and summarizes the research progress on the mechanism .
