摘要

Abstract

According to the emerging applications in broadband services,W band has been considered as the most im-portant scientific frontier in the satellite communications. As high power amplifiers,W-band TWTs have many advantages, such as high-power capability and wide bandwidth. Compared with international advanced level,W-band TWTs have recently reached good key characteristics in output power and bandwidth,which could motivate research of W-band satellite communi-cation system in China. W-band TWTs will be improved with emphasis on reliability and practicability,which will provide critical power devices for development of high frequency wideband satellite communication system.
