Abstract
Pointer multimeter is a common electric and electronic instrument. This paper first introduces the four parts of the pointer multimeter and the functions of each part, followed by a brief summary of the characters of resistance shift and scale, and then elaborates the methods and steps on how to use the pointer multimeter to mea-sure the resistance of resistor and how to detect electrolysis capacitors, semiconductor diodes, and transistors. Fi-nally the paper points out some issues should be paid attention to when using the pointer multimeter.关键词
