Target Handoff of Tracking-and-guiding Radar to KEI Using DS Method

Abstract
Target recognition and matching is the key link for proper handoff of tracking-and-guiding radar to kinetic energy interceptors (KEI). This paper deals with the handoff between radar and seeker from the perspective of target matching. First, the typical identification characteristics of ballistic targets are extracted and quantized, each feature is taken as an evidence and its basic belief assignment function is constructed. Then the distributed computation fusion is performed by using the Dempster-Shafer (DS) method, the fusion results are judged by decision-making rules and target matching is achieved. And finally, the effectiveness of DS method on target handoff is proved by taking computation examples.关键词
