Sweet Potato, Maize and Ancylostomiasis in Sichuan Province since the early Qing Dynasty
摘要
Abstract
Immigrants and their descendants from Fujian Province and Guangdong Province took America crops into Sichuan Province during the wave of immigrants of the early Qing Dynasty. As its population grows larger, sweet potato and maize were introduced into mountain land and hills and became their chief crops. Different from the North area, local method of intensive cultivation not only had led to high infection rate and high infected area of hookworm disease, but also serious symptoms.关键词
