Operative treatment for recurrent patellar dislocation on children patients

Abstract
Objective To explore the effectiveness and management of operative treatment for recurrent patellar dislo-cation on children patients.Methods 36 patients (45 knees)underwent combined surgery of soft tissue including releasing lateral ligament of the patellar adequately,tightening medial articular capsule,shifting medial vastus muscle and medial transfer of half patellar tendon.Results 36 cases had been followed up for 10 months~6 years and 10 months.To assess operative treatments according to the following three aspects:patient satisfaction,routine knee joint examination and physical ability.Of all 36 patients,28 cases were excellent,7 good and 1 poor.Conclusions Combined surgery is an effective method for recurrent patellar dislocation in children.关键词
