Abstract
Objective To decrease the misdiagnosis and mistreatment rate of cavernous heman -gioma in sellar region through the analysis of misdiagnosis and the review of relevant literatures from 1 case with cavernous hemangioma in the sellar region .Methods Combined with the relevant litera-tures,it was systematically reviewed of the characteristics of cavernous hemangioma in sellar region , and analyzed of the misdiagnosis causes of 1 case of cavernous hemangioma in sellar region ,then, distinguished between cavernous hemangioma in sellar region and invasive pituitary adenoma .Results The tumors were marroon ,smooth and tough , the bleeding was found obviously during the operation and only small piece of tissue were taken for pathological examination which was identified as cavernous .Conclusions Cavernous hemangioma in sellar region has its unique clinical features . Accurate preoperative diagnosis is essential important to avoid mistreatment .关键词
