Abstract

Objective:To study the anti-oxidative activity and safety of Cherry Blossom Extracts in vitro.Methods:The fluorescence in fibroblast cells cultured with different concentrations of Cherry Blossom extract (0.5%、1%、2%) was determined using dichlorodihydrofluorescin diace-tate (DCFH-DA) as fluorescence probe, and the RAW264.7 macrophage cell's livability was de-termined by the MTT assay after cultured with different concentrations of Cherry Blossom extract (0.5%、1%、2%).The fibroblast cells and the RAW264.7 macrophage cell without Cherry Blos-som extract was studied as controls respectively .Results:The fluorescence in fibroblast cells cul-tured with different concentrations Cherry Blossom extract was lower than the control group .The fluorescence of 0.5%、1%、2% Cherry Blossom extract group decreased by 16.55%, 19.19%and 29.3%respectively ( all P<0.05 ) at 90 min compared with the control group .Meanwhile , MTT experiments showed that after cultured with different concentrations of Cherry Blossom extract (0.5%, 1%, 2%) , the RAW 264.7 macrophage cell viability was 100.27%, 98.93% and&nbsp;100.53%respectively .Conclusion:Cherry Blossom extract has anti-oxidation function ,and has no toxic effects to the RAW 264 .7 macrophages cell .
