Abstract
Objective:To understand the trends and epidemiological features of sexually trans-mitted diseases(STDs) in Guangdong from 2004~2012, and provide scientific basis for making control strategies .Methods:The case-report data of notifiable and monitoring STDs during the pe-riod of 2004~2012 were analyzed with epidemiological methods .Results:①During 2004~2012 , the morbidity of STDs in Guangdong showed an increasing trend .The incidence of STDs steadily increased from 37 814(47.54/100 000) in 2004 to 146 469 (139.43 per 100 000) in 2012.The average annual growth rate was 21.10%, but the upward trend became gentle since 2008 .②The high-incidence area was Pearl River Delta , whose reported morbidities of STDs ranging in the top three in 2012 were all higher than 250 per 100 000.The low-incidence area was Eastern Guang-dong with incidence rates lower than 50 per 100 000 .③The male to female ratio of STDs de-creased from 1.80∶1 in 2004 to 1.01∶1 in 2012 .STD incidence rates were highest among sexually active individuals aged from 20 to 49 years, and the reported STD cases in this age group accoun-ted for over 75%of total cases .During the period of 2009~2012 , the growth rate of STDs cases in the elderly group was higher than that in the youngsters .Conclusion:The incidence of STDs is in a slow upward trend in Guangdong province .The case-report data from different areas showed significantly differences .The cases of STDs in the elderly group increases gradually .Actions should be taken to enhance the monitoring and the prevention of STDs .关键词
