Abstract
Guasha Treatment ,as a representative movie to demonstrate the differences between Chinese and western cultures ,fully displays cultural conflicts and cultural integration between China and western countries .Aimed at furthering the cultural exchanges between China and western countries ,this paper applies face definition presented by Goffman and face -negotiation theory by Ting -Toomey to the analysis of the differences on face value between China and western countries and miscommunication and cultural gap caused by different understand-ings of face value .关键词
