Effect of JCI Standard-based Continuous Quality Improvement on Prevention of Hospitalized Children’s Fall

Abstract
Objective To take measures to prevent hospitalized children ’s fall based on Joint Commission International Accreditation Standards for Hospital so as to reduce the incidence of fall. Methods With fishbone diagrams, major causes of fall were identified then continuous quality improvement was implemented based on JCI standards including improving falling prevention management system and evaluation, early identification of high risk population and high risk area, targeted preventive measures and full participation of medical staff. Results The incidence of children’s fall decreased from 0.125‰ to a minimum of 0.024‰. Conclusion JCI standard-based continuous quality improvement contributes to the decrease of hospitalized children ’s fall.关键词
